Our team

A passion passed down, complementary perspectives and a shared commitment: understanding your collection so we can offer sound advice.

Alongside Michel Carbonne, the founder of the house, Julien Carbonne and Brice Tessore support collectors and families. Every conversation is grounded in attentive listening, discretion and clear explanations.

The founder · Over 40 years in philately

Michel Carbonne

Founder of the house · CNEP expert

Knowledge, trust and passing on a legacy: the values on which Michel built Le Timbre et la Lettre.

A passionate collector who became a philatelic professional, Michel Carbonne has devoted more than forty years to studying stamps, old letters and collections. His experience forms the foundation of the house and is now being passed on within the team.

Over the years, he has assisted both experienced collectors and families discovering a relative’s albums. His approach remains the same: examine the pieces methodically, put the collection in context and explain his observations clearly.

His work does not end with a valuation. He is committed to preserving the history of collections and helping each person make an informed choice about what comes next: keeping, passing on, adding to or selling a collection.

Experience to support your project

A careful eye for the pieces, as well as the years of research, memories and questions that come with them.

By his side, a team ready to listen
