If you change your mind

When buying online as a consumer, you have 14 days to notify us that you wish to withdraw from the contract, without giving a reason. The period starts on the day after you, or a third party you have designated other than the carrier, receive the goods. If goods from a single order are delivered separately, it starts after receipt of the last item. If the last day falls on a Saturday, Sunday, public holiday or non-working day, the deadline is extended to the next working day.

Send us a clear statement before the deadline by email to letimbreetlalettre@gmail.com or by post to the address below. You may use the form at the bottom of this page, but you do not have to. You do not need prior approval to exercise this right.

Returning the items

Send the goods back without undue delay and no later than 14 days after notifying us of your decision to withdraw, to this address:

You are responsible for the direct cost of returning goods when exercising your right of withdrawal. This rule applies when you change your mind; it does not apply to costs necessary to implement the statutory guarantee of conformity.

Please handle the items carefully, protect them for shipping and retain proof of dispatch. You may examine the goods. You are only liable for a reduction in their value resulting from handling beyond what is necessary to establish their nature, characteristics and functioning, under the applicable legal conditions.

Your refund after withdrawal

If you withdraw from the contract, we refund the payments received, including the delivery costs paid for our least expensive standard delivery option. If you expressly chose a more expensive delivery method, the additional cost is not refunded.

We refund you without undue delay, no later than 14 days after receiving your decision to withdraw. We may withhold the refund until we receive the goods or evidence that you have sent them back, whichever happens first.

We use the same payment method as for your purchase, unless you expressly agree to a different method that does not result in any fees for you.

An item is not as described or has a defect

A defect or an item that does not match your order is covered by statutory guarantees, independently of the right of withdrawal. Contact us to describe the problem. You may attach photographs to help us understand it; providing photographs is not a condition of your statutory rights.

Statutory guarantee of conformity

The French statutory guarantee of conformity covers defects that existed at delivery and become apparent within two years. For second-hand goods, a defect appearing within the first 12 months is presumed to have existed at delivery, unless proved otherwise and subject to statutory exceptions. For new goods, that presumption lasts 24 months.

Goods must be brought into conformity without cost to you, by repair or replacement under the legal conditions, no later than 30 days after your request and without significant inconvenience. A price reduction or termination of the sale is available in the cases provided by law, including where bringing the goods into conformity is impossible or refused. The unique nature of an item does not remove these guarantees.

If the sale is terminated under this guarantee, we cover the cost of returning the goods. The refund legally due is made upon receipt of the goods or proof of their return, and no later than 14 days afterwards, using the same payment method unless you expressly agree to another method, without additional fees.

Statutory guarantee against hidden defects

You also benefit from the French statutory guarantee against hidden defects, under Articles 1641 onwards of the French Civil Code. Proceedings must be brought within two years of discovering the defect. Subject to the legal conditions, you may return the goods for a refund or keep them and obtain a price reduction.
